Medical research is a rapidly changing area. It would be impossible to list every new study and research finding relevant to the topic area that you are reading about on these pages.
The research arm of Women’s College Hospital, The Women's College Research Institute (WCRI), is a good place to start to find out what’s new in women’s health research. The institute has 101 member researchers drawn from a diverse range of university faculties and departments.
Our News Section on womenshealthmatters.ca contains features stories that cover the latest women’s health news and research studies, and is updated twice weekly.
For tips on searching the Internet to find health research information, and on how to interpret understand and analyze medical research articles, see our Women Wading Through the Web: A Health Toolkit.
The research section of the toolkit discusses different types of medical research, where to find the original research reports and how to understand and interpret them. There is also a section on how to use search engines to find health information, how to judge the quality of a website and how to understand media and web-based health information.
Finally, you can search our Health A-Z section on womenshealthmatters.ca. This section contains short articles we have written on a wide variety of women’s health topics, as well as detailed descriptions of books and periodicals, audiovisual and multimedia materials and websites.
